What's one non-negotiable in your creative process? Is there anything you have to use, do or incorporate in order to successfully create? I believe that every great project starts with a great concept and that requires in-depth research. Thoughtful and functional design needs a compelling and unique story, and that’s what I like to offer my clients.

What does a typical workday look like for you?

My morning always starts with a shower and a coffee. Then, I usually get ready for a stream or Instagram content creation. Some days I just like to work comfortably and don’t feel like putting on make up. It all depends on my schedule. My most productive time is between 10 am and 2 pm. After doing the most important tasks and completing most meetings I start my actual design work in the afternoon. It comes quite easy and natural to me, so I prefer to leave it for the second half of the day. And if I really enjoy my work it can lead to an evening shift from there.

What's been your favorite project you've ever worked on?
My favorite projects are the most challenging and the ones where I grow on a personal level. So far one of my most relevant work is a homeless shelter design project I was part of in India. We crowdfunded, built and distributed 125 homeless shelters for homeless families in New Delhi.

How do you implement personal projects in your schedule? Any advice for fellow creatives on how to carve out the time to honor their own creativity?

Usually, I work on personal projects when I do not get lots of freelance clients and have some time left. Alternatively, I like to work on quick turnaround passion projects on the weekends. That usually is due to a new design style I want to explore and add to my portfolio to attract a new kind of freelance clients.

Okay, we have to know: are you a morning person, or a night owl?
I am definitely a night owl. I do not understand people who are able to be functional at 6 in the morning. Sometimes I work late into the night because it’s a quiet time of the day, where I can be focused and creative.

What's one thing you love doing when you're *not* creating?

Usually, when I am not working I spend a lot of time with my husband and my dog. You can find us in the biggest dog parks of Colorado.

What are some of your favorite platforms, tools, blogs, and resources that you look into regularly that we can share with our readers?

Some of the most inspiring are: Pinterest (not a surprise), Coolors (a tool to create color palettes), Typewolf (for typography inspiration), Random Word Generator (for brand name generation, random design ideas, brainstorming), Synonyms (to look up similar words, for brand naming or copywriting), copy.ai (for copy generation), Adobe Spark (for creating social media posts on the go), Unsplash (for free lifestyle images), OBS (for online streaming), Apple Notes (for any kind of notes, lists), The Noun Project (for free icons), Creative Market (that’s where I spend all my money for fonts, templates), and many more.

What is your enneagram?

I do not believe in personality tests, because people change and adapt to circumstances over time.

Lastly, How do you incorporate colors in your work? Are there any tools you use for generating color palettes?

Yes, I love using Coolors and Adobe Color, I also use self-created moodboards to color-pick. There is also an amazing tool to capture colors from any visual, called Adobe Capture for mobile (it’s part of the CC subscription).
